A technology assessment is only useful if it changes a decision. These are the questions we make sure every assessment answers.
1. What breaks first if the business doubles?
Scaling limits are rarely where people expect. Find the real constraint, whether it is a database, a licence, a team or a vendor.
2. How long does a change take to reach production?
Lead time for change is the best single indicator of engineering health.
3. Who owns each piece of data?
Unclear ownership is behind most integration failures and most compliance findings.
4. What is the cost of the technical debt?
Debt needs a price so it can be weighed against features in the same plan.
5. Which vendors could hold you hostage?
Licence terms, proprietary formats and single-supplier skills all limit future options.
6. Does it meet UAE regulatory requirements?
Data residency, PDPL and sector rules from regulators such as the CBUAE or DHA should be checked, not assumed.
7. What should happen in the next 90 days?
An assessment ends with a short, ranked list of actions. Everything else is context.
